Hello, I am a Financial Service Software Advisor by profession and a passionate photographer based in Herne Hill, London.

My photography journey began in 2012 with purchasing my first DSLR, a Nikon entry-level camera, just before embarking on a trip to the Galapagos. I was initially disappointed with the results, as I had only used the camera in automatic mode. This disappointment fueled my desire to take photography more seriously.

I consider myself extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend a week every year in breathtaking landscape photography locations such as Iceland, Lofoten, the Faroe Islands, the Dolomites, Kyrgyzstan and very recently, Lapland.

I have also ventured on shorter trips to picturesque destinations like Dorset, the Lake District, Madeira, and Glencoe. However, until now, my time spent with a camera in hand has been limited to these annual trips. I am now eager to devote more time to honing my photography skills.

Throughout my photography journey, I have remained loyal to Nikon and currently shoot with a Z8 and a Z6. My go-to lenses are the Z 24-120 mm f/4 S and the Z 100-400 mm f/4.5-5.6 S. While I used to use the Z 14-30 mm f/4 S extensively, I now find myself rarely reaching for it. The Z 20 mm f/1.8 S is primarily reserved for capturing nightscapes. I use Kase magnetic circular filters, FLM tripods and an RRS ball head.

Additionally, I have recently added a DJI Mavic Mini 3 Pro to my gear collection. Although I initially experienced some nerves and heart-stopping moments while flying this lightweight drone, I have gradually grown more comfortable. In fact, some of my favourite pictures from my trip to Kyrgyzstan were captured using the drone.

While pursuing my own editing style, I strive to keep my photographs looking as natural as possible. Thus, the majority of my images - specifically my more recent ones - receive only light (and mainly local) editing.

In the past, I have primarily focused on capturing grand scenes, but I have started to shift towards capturing more intimate landscapes. I invite you to return to my webpage to witness my progress over time. You can also find me on instagram, even though I don’t post a lot: @torsten.pull
